They sure didn’t get us to keep our pensions at age 60 so we didn’t need to raise the retirement age. Now they won’t let us go to 67. I know I would rather have a pension and retire at age 60. How about you?
The RLA favors companies. It allows them to come up with an alternative way to move freight in case of a strike (in which the PEB can decline it). Also, as you stated, there are limited NMB representatives to oversee all of us in this position now. ALPA NATIONAL needs to concentrate on fixing that, instead of lobbying us to keep the age 65 rule (in which it is now staying at 65). We should have the options to work to 67 because we can do it under part 135.
